The poster for Sonic 2 has been updated by Paramount Pictures. After getting several critiques for excluding two of its main characters, the film was remade

The Sonic film franchise has become a rare bird in which Paramount has demonstrated a willingness to listen to fan feedback.

When the first trailer for Sonic: The Movie was published, fans were taken aback by SEGA's blue hedgehog's planned design.

As a result of the negative comments, Paramount decided to yank the picture from the schedule and send Sonic back to the design department to adopt a design that was more in line with the video games.

Sonic: The Cinema was one of the few blockbuster movies of 2020, partly because it was released just before the coronavirus pandemic forced movie theaters across the world to close.

The film grossed $319.7 million worldwide, shattering the stigma that surrounds video game adaptations for the big screen.

A sequel would be announced soon by Paramount. On April 1, Ben Schwartz, James Marsden, Jim Carrey, Tika Stumper, Idris Elba, and Collen O'Shaughnessey will star in Sonic 2 in Spanish theaters.

One of the choral posters for Sonic 2: The Movie surfaced a few days ago, showcasing the complete cast ready for action.

Due to the exclusion of Tika Stumper and Collen O'Shaughnessey from the credits, the poster has gotten a lot of unfavorable attention.

Ben Schwartz, who will reprise his part as Sonic, James Marsden, who will reprise his role as Tom, Jim Carrey, who will cause havoc as Doctor Ivo 'Eggman' Robotnik, and Idris Elba, who will voice Knuckles, are among the cast members.

The absence of Tika Stumper, who will reprise her role as Maddie, and Collen O'Shaughnessey, who has voiced Tails in several video games in the franchise, did not sit well with anyone. Many people pointed out that the poster exclusively showcased the male cast members. The original poster can be found here.

Tika Stumper and Collen O'Shaughnessey's names have been corrected and added to the poster, both digitally and in print.

It's worth mentioning that Ben Schwartz was absent from certain Sonic: The Movie (the original) posters, despite the fact that he was the major character.

In addition to the upcoming release of Sonic 2: The Movie, Paramount has already confirmed a third film installment for SEGA's blue hedgehog, as well as a Knuckles television series.
