According to an EA job posting, The Sims 4 could get cinematics and story sequences

When it comes to simulation, The Sims is one of the most well-known franchises. These games have produced a plethora of stories, experiences, and social interactions for more than two decades.

His most recent game, The Sims 4, could be updated with a mechanic that has never been seen before in the franchise. And be aware that we do not rule out the possibility of a fifth installment in the future ( perhaps with Unreal Engine 5 ).

If we look at the job posting on Electronic Arts, we can see that Maxis (the makers of The Sims) is searching for a storyboard writer to work on the franchise. Also, pay particular attention to the implications of this.

The post is no longer open, but according to the job description, Maxis is hoping to incorporate cinematic narrative and new cinematics in The Sims 4.

The offer's description specifically states: "visualize our designs, game experiences, and technology solutions through animations and narrations".

To put it another way, The Sims 4 may be updated with new cinematics and cutscenes, enhancing the realism of every social interaction. Each of these sequences would be scripted and contain more information.

It may not specifically relate to stories and narratives, but it is apparent that The Sims 4 simulation will continue to evolve in the future. In the game's discussions and scenarios, more naturalness is desired.

"A dialogue between many people, a dinner sequence with an extended family, or an animated street scene," EA has described the scenarios for which Maxis' new storyboarder would be responsible.

It's unclear whether this functionality will be in The Sims 4, or if it will be saved for a new expansion or IP game. For the player, these cinematics will be more realistic and immersive.

The Sims 4 Scenarios expansion, which will introduce new objectives and challenges to the social simulation game, is on the way. Will this new feature be included in the DLC? Will The Sims 5 be part of a future in which the story is more important than ever?
