Blizzard was hit by a DDoS attack, which made it difficult to log into Battle.net

Thousands of players experienced issues logging onto Battle.net, the Activision Blizzard platform that supports games like Call of Duty: Warzone, Overwatch, HearthStone, and others, on Wednesday afternoon, November 24. Some players also experienced disconnections and other network issues. The corporation revealed the source of the troubles a short time later.

Blizzard initially stated that it was aware of the matter on Twitter, but later revealed that it had been the victim of a DDoS attack, which resulted in excessive latency and disconnections for some players. Similarly, he stated that he was already trying to resolve the issue.

A short time later, the business sent out another tweet, stating that the DDoS attacks had finished and providing a link to advice on how to resolve connection issues if they persisted.

Blizzard has yet to release specific details about the nature of the DDoS attack it suffered this afternoon as of this writing. We'll keep an eye on the issue and provide an update if new information becomes available.
