Here's a good look at Saints Row: The Third's wide environment

Even though this new Saints Row trailer is allegedly a tranquil presentation of the reboot's open world grandeur, an NPC is run down within the first ten seconds. It's back to business, but Santo Ileso does seem nice, in a gritty bullets-for-breakfast sort of way.

The video above, courtesy of Game Informer, focuses on the many types of locations that will be included in the next Saints Row game. The sandy outback appears to be ideal for high-speed pandemonium, but some of the metropolitan areas appear to be more exciting: check out the neon-lit suburbia at 0:39. Santo Ileso is said to be influenced by the American Southwest, which is evident in the film (I'm also getting Los Santos vibes, which is possibly unavoidable).

Saints Row, which will be released on February 25, will supposedly be less edgy than its predecessors, according to Morgan, who sampled the game. If having triple leaps and launchpads sprinkled over a sci-fi cityscape is edgy, then I'll take blades.
