Anyone who already has a copy of the original Tetris Effect will be able to download the new edition for free as a free update, though the game will be available for the first time on the Valve shop. In any case, all of this will begin on August 18, 2018.

Another exciting feature of this update, which will also effect Xbox One and Xbox Series X / S editions, is that it will include a cross-platform capability that will allow us to connect with our friends regardless of the platform from which they are connected. It is only essential to share a four-digit alphanumeric code for this.

The games will be filled with more players in online mode as a result of this feature, making it easier to find people, especially in ranked games. Nonetheless, friends can be invited to become spectators, allowing up to six people to watch the games in spectator mode while sending emoticons to encourage others or express themselves in some way.
